Posted Date: 11/12/25 (09:58 AM)

Dear John Wallace Middle School Families,

I am thrilled to share an exciting update regarding the John Wallace Middle School renovation project: We are currently on schedule!

This exciting progress means we are preparing to transition to Phase II of the project immediately following the December holiday break.

šŸ—“ļø Key Transition Dates and Changes

We are planning for students in Grades 7 and 8 to return from the holiday break onĀ Monday, January 5, in the newly renovated Grade 7 and 8 wings!
In order to prepare for this transition, our staff will need dedicated time for packing, moving curriculum materials, and setting up the new learning spaces. This transition will also include closing our Grade 6 wing and relocating those students to temporary classroom spaces within the building. Students in Grade 6 will also return onĀ Monday, January 5, to a new classroom location.

āš ļø Important: Early Release Days for JWMS

To ensure the building is fully ready for instruction onĀ  Monday, January 5, John Wallace Middle School will need to implement a series ofĀ Early Release Days prior to the holiday break.
  • Dates:
    • Thursday, December 18
    • Friday, December 19
    • Monday, December 22
    • Tuesday, December 23
  • Dismissal Time: Students will be dismissed early at 1:05 PM on these four days.Ā  Students will follow our normal early release schedule in school on these days.
Please Note: These early release days areĀ only for John Wallace Middle School due to the renovation project. All other district schools will be in session for full days on these dates. Our transportation department will be running the special early dismissal bus schedule forĀ John Wallace students only.

Thank you in advance for your flexibility and support as we complete this critical transition to Phase II of the Wallace Renovation Project. We are very excited about the new spaces that await our students.

Best regards,
Daniel Dias Principal, John Wallace Middle School
