Kindness Week and Student Council Spirit!

The Student Council is organizing Kindness Week and here are the logistics for the next two weeks.

Food Drive:
Dates: Monday, 11/18 – Friday, 11/21.
Action: Homerooms will collect items (1 item = 1 point).
Logistics: A Google Form will be sent on 11/21 to record totals. Collection boxes are forthcoming.
Incentive: The homeroom in each grade with the most donations wins a prize. Teachers should post the flyer and desired items list.

Spirit Days:

Underground Staff-Only Spirit Days (11/17 - 11/19): Monochromatic Monday, Embrace your Content Area Tuesday, and Wayback Wednesday.
Kindness Week Spirit Days (11/20 - 11/24): Peace, Love & Kindness (Tie-Dye/Purple), Freaky Friday (role-reversal), Rhyme Without Reason, Community Day, and Color Wars (Pep Rally). A flyer will be sent next week.

Spirit Days Spreadsheet

Wing 3 and 4 Construction Project Walkthrough- Thursday, November 20 @ 3:00

Newfield Construction will be providing a staff walk-through/visit to Wings 3 and 4 this coming Thursday, November 20. The walkthrough will begin at 3:00. All staff are welcome to come down. Please ensure you wear closed toed shoes that day as they can't let you in with out them

Looking forward for everyone to get a chance to see the progress and the amazing new learning spaces coming together.

The SEL and Dicipline Committee meetings that day will run from 3:30-4:30 to allow all staff the chance to check out the wings.

Progress Conference Information- Conferences December 10-12

Progress Conferences (formerly known as Parent Teacher Conferences) will be held on December 10, 11, and 12. Conferences will be in person. December conferences are required and every attempt should be made to meet with parents/guardians or hold a virtual/phone conference if a parent/guardian is unable to attend in person. Parents/guardians may request a virtual conference.

Please see below for conference times:

December 10 - 5:00-8:00 p.m.

December 11 - 1:15-3:00 p.m.

December 12 - 1:15-3:00 p.m.

PROGRESS CONFERENCES TIMELINE – December

Principals will inform parents in their Weekly Newsletter on Friday, November 21 that staff will be sending out invites for Progress Conferences on Monday, December 1, by 9:00 a.m.
Teachers will set up their schedules in ParentSquare by following these directions.
On December 1st- The posts are sent through ParentSquare (be sure you have scheduled it to go out on that day at 9:00 a.m.).
From December 1 - December 8 - Parents sign up for conferences on-line
On Tuesday, December 9 - Parents will be reminded via ParentSquare of the conference times.
Wednesday, December 10 - Friday, December 12 - Progress Conferences will be held
