Black Doctors Day is dedicated to expanding the horizons of the next generation by showcasing the many pathways within the medical profession. Through meaningful engagement with practicing physicians and exposure to a diverse range of medical specialties, students gain valuable insight into the opportunities available in healthcare. This experience is designed to educate, inspire, and empower young people to envision themselves as future physicians, healthcare leaders, and changemakers in their communities. The afternoon will feature a keynote address, hands-on physician demonstrations, a health fair, a vendor exhibition, and a white coat experience for students exploring careers in medicine.
What: A community health and education event connecting physicians with middle and high school students.
When: Saturday, August 29, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: UConn Health Center – The Academic Rotunda (263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT 06030)
Registration is free. Space is limited.
Light refreshments will be available at first come first serve basis.
